This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful expanding team working within the NHS.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Dermatology Procedure Nurse and Nurse Prescriber who is able to undertake Minor Operations, work independently in Nurse and Consultant led clinics within the community to offer advice, counselling, education and monitoring of drugs and treatment regimes.

You would be expected to manage change, lead a service and apply up to date evidence-based practice. We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a demonstrable clinical interest in Dermatology.
You will be expected to attend MDT (Multi-disciplinary team) meetings together with our Clinicians and assist in coordinating patient lists and recording outcomes together with the MDT coordinator to ensure all newly diagnosed cancer patients are discussed during the meeting.

You will also be required to promote high standards of clinical care to our patients and to assist the clinical team in the service and delivery of the dermatology service of the local population. The post holder will work collaboratively with the clinical team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.

Additionally we are looking for a Dermatology Nurse Specialist who is able to work remotely to review medical records and conduct telephone assessments. This will include assessing the GP referral, previous consultation notes, medication history and outcome of procedure then speaking to the patient over the telephone to establish the patients’ current condition and next steps in their pathway.

You will be provided with a laptop and telephone which will be within the N3 connection andwork completed remotely will be included in your contracted hours.

Candidates must have:

  • Current NMC Registration
  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • Evidence of professional updating
  • Evidence of post-registration training
  • Commitment to developing professional practice and skills
  • Experience performing minor operations, punch biopsies, excisions and cryotherapy
  • Experience conducting Patient follow ups and home visits


  • Experience of managing and developing nursing teams
  • Participation in clinical supervision
