Pharmacy Technician required – Chelmsford, Essex

£20 - £25 Per Hour

Job Description

Pertemps Medical Professionals, following successful projects across Scotland and Wales have been asked to find Pharmacy Technicians within three areas of London and Essex to assist with various research projects.

Role Summary

Undertake a range of dispensing and medicines supply functions in order to provide an efficient pharmaceutical service to wards and departments. This will be predominantly concerned with dispensing, labelling, preparation, accuracy checking and issuing of pharmaceuticals, but will also involve some stock control and management.

Locations

Chelmsford, Essex

This placement is due to start with one weeks’ notice and will run for approximately 2 to 3 months.

All Pharmacy Technicians must have the Right to work in the UK and be registered with the GPhC.

 

Duties will include:

• Dispense in-patient, out-patient, and leave/discharge prescriptions and clinical trial materials. Process prescriptions using the pharmacy IT system; select, compile, package and label and record prescription items according to departmental procedure.
• Final check clinically screened prescriptions and orders prepared by other pharmacy staff before release to the ward or unit.
• Maintain controlled drug register, making entries, checking, and reconciling stock as appropriate.

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00
